Escondido (3 days): Wild Animal Park & San Diego Zoo
Big Bear (4 days): Wilderness & Recreation
Victorville/Apple Valley (1/2 day): Trompin' Brian's old turf (or whatever you call dirt with lizards on it)
Lone Pine (1 day): Whitney Portal Campground - maybe a hike or two
Yosemite (2 days): Crane Flats - just outside the valley
Monterey (2 days): See the beach. Scottish fair... or not...
Hearst Castle (1/2 day): Who knows what lies in an abode long since abandoned.
Morro Bay (1 day): Campin' on the beach...
